ROBERT DELANEY - CRICKET IRELAND COACH OF THE YEAR

We are delighted and very proud to announce that 1st team captain and women's and youth coordinator Robert Delaney has won Cricket Ireland Coach of the Year. A fantastic piece of news for someone who has worked tirelessly to improve the standard and availability of cricket to every member in Mullingar Cricket Club, whether they knew it or not!

Coming through the ranks as a junior, he has gained a huge amount of experience in his time with the club, undertaking a number of Cricket Leinster and ECB coaching courses down the years, and his recent appointment as Chair of Secondary Schools Cricket in Cricket Leinster for the 2024 season has shown his dedication to helping grow the game for younger members across not just Mullingar but also the province.

The award's night was last Friday in the Clontarf Castle hotel and was attended by a large number of the current Men's and Women's national team members.

MEN'S PRESEASON TRAINING

The new season is approaching. Preseason training for our men's sides begins Saturday the 21st of January @ 6pm with an indoor session in North County Cricket Club, Balbriggan.

NEW GROUND

January 1, 2023

Mullingar CC are delighted to announce that we have received planning permission to begin work on our new ground at Cullion, just outside Mullingar.

The chance to create a permanent home for cricket in Mullingar will support and secure the future of cricket in the town as well as the wider Midlands region.

Fundraising and further information will follow in the near future!

CRICKET LEINSTER PARTICIPATION UPDATE

Nice article regarding the exceptional growth of cricket across the province. Mullingar has seen an impressive 50% growth on last year. Great to see so many more getting involved and especially well done and many thanks to our coaches and members who have helped push this growth!

CRICKET LEINSTER SCORERS COURSES

June 1st, 2021

There’s never been a better time to get involved in scoring, with brand new courses being organised by the LCU&SA which are fully accredited by the Irish Association of Cricket Umpires and Scorers (IACUS). Having accreditation from these courses is the only way to move up the IACUS scoring pathway.
